My Story

Lӧwin Nutrition is for people that wonder how to keep up with work, working on themselves, working out, working on their home, working with their kids, working…you get the idea. I will help you to incorporate balance through food and routine, as well as supporting known issues with the intention to prevent others in the future. Thank you for stopping by!

Lӧwin Nutrition has been a bit of a labor of love over the course of approximately 5 years. I obtained my Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine in 2019, only to run headfirst into the pandemic. At the time, I was still working as a veterinary technician at a busy 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital. You may be aware of how crazy things got for human hospitals, you may not know (rather, I hope that you did not have to learn) how crazy it was for emergency veterinary hospitals. I went many days without taking a lunch, staying late, being called in on my days off, you get the idea. My nutrition career, let alone my own personal nutrition, took a definitive backseat as my mental health struggled to keep up with the daily onslaught of work.

As the pandemic traffic began to ease some, I decided to reinvigorate my education by entering into the Doctor of Clinical Nutrition program at University of Western States. We were a small class, and as much as I learned from the program, I was able to learn even more from my classmates through their varied backgrounds and career paths. Upon completion in 2023, I was mired in overwhelm, unsure how to start, unsure how to get patients, unsure of my skills and abilities, and downright unsure that I even deserved to get out there and help people.

After a lot of podcasts, articles, instagram deep dives, journaling, yoga, and let’s be honest, wine talks with friends, I realized that the only way to start is to START somewhere, so here we are today.

So who are you? Probably you are someone that identifies with at least one internal roadblock as mentioned above. You might overwork yourself, you might already have an autoimmune condition, you might be healthy so far but hypochondriac yourself at every turn, you might worry so much about the state of things around you that you wonder how you could ever turn your concern inward and spend time taking care of yourself. Or perhaps you’ve got everything super under control but just need a little help meal planning. You’re in the right place, and I look forward to figuring it out together.
